MALIBU FIRE UPDATE:
10/25 - We are still on for the weekend! The fire in Malibu is now 100% contained (as of 7pm wednesday night), and major roads have started to reopen, including highway 1 (PCH). Due to the recent fires, the air quality is not perfect and it is recommended that anyone with asthma not attend ShabbatMalibu.
If you are driving to ShabbatMalibu, PCH may still be closed on Friday. Here are the directions through the Valley via the 101:
Take the Ventura Freeway (US 101) west to Kanan Rd. Turn left onto Kanan and go 6 miles to Mulholland Hwy. Turn right onto Mulholland Hwy. After 1 mile the road forks-stay to the left onto Encinal Cyn Rd. After 3.5 miles, Encinal will end at Lechusa. Turn right onto Lechusa which will immediately end at Decker Cyn. Rd (23). Turn right onto Decker for ¾ mile to Mulholland Hwy. (stop sign). Turn left onto Mulholland. The Institute is 2.5 miles from this point on the left side.
REGISTRATION AND CLOSING:
Registration at TT3 begins 11 am on Sunday, October 28 at the Sheraton Delfina in Santa Monica.
TT3 will be officially over on Tuesday October 30 at 4 pm.
ATTIRE:
THINKTANK 3: Business Casual. Please remember that the cream of LA's professional and volunteer leadership will be in attendance. There will be optional yoga on Monday and Tuesday and some free time to hang out by the pool if weather permits.
Bring fun "after-party" attire for Monday night!
SHABBAT MALIBU: Camp is rustic, so bring sneakers, outdoorsy clothes for ropes courses and hikes. It may be cool in the evenings so plan accordingly.
WEATHER:
The typical weather in Santa Monica during this time of year is pleasant and in the low 70's. Keep in mind that we are close to the beach, so a jacket or wrap is good for the evenings. If you would like to take part in yoga in the mornings on Monday and Tuesday, bring your yoga attire. Also, a hat, sunscreen and your sunglasses are also good items to bring.
